Mizoram Youth Commission Conducts Mock Interview Programme for Excise & Narcotics Constable Aspirants

Aizawl, May 29, 2026: The Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) recently hosted a mock interview drive for candidates who cleared the Excise & Narcotics Department’s written exam held on February 25. The preparatory initiative was designed to help candidates gear up for the final personal interviews scheduled for June 3–5, 2026.

Out of the 146 candidates who qualified for the interview stage, 55 registered for the mock sessions, and 53 attended. The eligible pool includes four candidates under the Sports Quota and two under the Mizoram Home Guards & Civil Defence Quota—each category representing a 5% reservation (one post each). To keep the Mock Interview accessible for all, MYC charged a nominal registration fee of ₹200.

The day began with a briefing session by David LF of D & C Coaching, who shared practical strategies on communication, body language, and navigating typical interview questions.

Following the briefing, candidates faced a mock interview panel consisting of:

  1. David LF (D & C Coaching)
  2. Jonathan Malsawmtluanga Hnamte (MYC Faculty)
  3. Lalremruata Tuallawt (MYC Faculty)

(L-R): David LF, Jonathan Malsawmtluanga Hnamte, Lalremruata Tuallawt

The panelists provided each participant with personalized feedback on their performance, highlighting specific areas for improvement. Candidates were also given specialized study materials focused on the Excise & Narcotics Department to help them prepare for department-specific questions during the official selection process.

Mizoram Youth Commission extends its best wishes to the candidates appearing for the upcoming personal interviews.
